Harvest time is a season. Many things in life are affected by seasons. The season to pray is always. Note that you may have to wait until a certain time to make certain prayers because you need to know more about the things, people, circumstances, etc., to pray with understanding.

Prayers for labourers to go into the harvest to reap souls should not be made just before the harvest when ample time was given to make all prayers in advance. The labourers who will be sent may not have time to prepare sufficiently for the harvest. Some of them will need special training before they can be sent to reap. Others may not be zealous about harvesting and will need to overcome their lack of zeal. Still others may come along joyfully but will turn back when the going gets tough. When we pray to the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to His harvest let us not fail to cover some of these problems in our requests. We should be willing to accept that before the harvest can be gathered sucessfully the labourers must be strong and capable for the tasks.

These are not the only reasons why we should not wait until harvest is at the door to pray.  These reasons may not be a problem if there are experienced, capable and willing labourers ready at harvest time.

Let us join our hearts and souls in this prayer. We are free to add anything else that are not covered here to this prayer. Heavenly Father, please send experienced, capable and willing labourers into your harvest where they are required. Those that are making preparations for harvest may not be quite ready for the tasks. Lord , help them to overcome anything that could block them from completing the harvest. If they are not willing, help them to be willing. If they need training, grant them the time , resources and trainers that they may be fully trained before the harvest. Those that could be too weak during harvest and turn back, strengthen, so that they will not fail at reaping with you. Father thank you for granting these requests. We ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

This is a general prayer. Some things mentioned may not apply in your case. Seek the Lord of the harvest for your specific needs. Do so now. Don't put it off. Your reaping time may be at the door.
